Quick resets first
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
Reboot after running these.
Driver update/rollback
Device Manager → Network Adapters → right-click the Wi-Fi adapter. Try "Update driver" first. If the problem started after a recent update, use "Roll Back Driver".
Forget and re-add the network
Settings → Network → Wi-Fi → Manage known networks → Forget. Reconnect fresh.
Check the 2.4 vs 5 GHz band
Some older adapters struggle with 5 GHz. Try connecting to the 2.4 GHz SSID explicitly. If that works, the adapter may need a driver update or replacement.
Hardware check
In Device Manager, a yellow exclamation on the adapter means driver failure. A missing adapter entirely may mean a loose M.2 Wi-Fi card — reseat it.
